FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF ACECLOFENAC TABLET BY DIRECT COMPRESSION METHOD BY USING DIFFERENT DIRECTLY COMPRESSIBLE VEHICLES
The aim of the present study was to formulate and evaluate the aceclofenac tablets with different direct compression vehicles by direct compression of tablets. The formulations were evaluated for hardness, friability, weight variations, thickness, drug content and in vitro dissolution profile. The results shows that formulation-3 shows best results in all evaluation test and shows maximum drug release at the end of 30 mints which was formulated from lactose as direct compression vehicle. The study concludes that lactose can be best used in formulations as direct compression vehicle when fast release of drug is needed from tables.
