REVIEW ON HERBAL DRUGS FOR ANALGESIC AND ANTIINFLAMMATORY ACTIVITIES
Inflammation is a defense mechanism against infection, Allergens, pathogens. Algesia is an unpleasant stimulus occurs by noxious stimuli. Inflammation and pain were interrelated to one another. Mostly synthetic drugs are used to treat pain and inflammation i.e., NSAIDS and Narcotics which leads to many adverse effects. Many herbal drugs were available to treat inflammation and pain. Some of the herbal drugs which were reviewed to possess anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities were listed in this article which has produced significant effects. And has been reviewed that most of the plants consisting of flavanoids are reported for anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, other than that steroids, saponins were reported to possess anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities.
