UV- SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC METHOD FOR SIMULTANEOUS ESTIMATION OF DROTAVERINE HYDROCHLORIDE AND ACECLOFENAC IN BULK AND THEIR FORMULATION
A simple, accurate, validated and reproducible UV-spectrophotometric method has been developed for the simultaneous estimation of Drotaverine Hydrochloride and Aceclofenac in both bulk and tablet formulation. Drotaverine and Aceclofenac in combined tablet formulation were estimated by using the multicomponent mode at 357 nm for Drotaverine and 276 nm for Aceclofenac in their solution in methanol: double distilled water (50:50). The Beer’s law obeyed the concentration range of 10-100µg/ml for both Drotaverine and Aceclofenac. Mean recovery of 99.54% for Drotaverine and 99.37% for Aceclofenac respectively signifies the accuracy of the method. This method can be used for the routine simultaneous estimation of Drotaverine Hydrochloride and Aceclofenac in industries and other analytical laboratories.
