EFFECT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PARAMETERS ENHANCING THE MICRO ALGAL LIPID AS A SUSTAINABLE ENERGY SOURCE FOR BIODIESEL PRODUCTION- A REVIEW

In recent times, with the global shortage of fossil fuels, steep increases in the price of crude oil and increased environmental concerns have resulted in the rapid growth in biodiesel production. Various sources are using for production of biodiesel such as plants oil, industrial waste oil. Oil-accumulating microalgae have the potential to enable large-scale biodiesel production without competing for arable land or biodiversity natural landscapes. High lipid productivity is a key desirable characteristic of a species for biodiesel production. The data available in the review collected from previous researches. This review describes the different parameters and lipid induction techniques that can be used to stimulate lipid biosynthesis, in microalgae, in particular TAG (Triacylglycerols). Genetic modification in microalgae lipid content which increase overall lipid production or shift the balance of lipid production towards lipid varieties more useful for biofuel production. Remodeling in biosynthesis pathways of lipid is a permissible way to increase the lipid content in microalgae
