  ABSTRACT

SCREENING OF AMYLASE PRODUCING MICROORGANISM FROM SOIL SAMPLE

Amylases are enzymes that catalyze the hydrolysis of alpha-1, 4-glycosidic linkages of polysaccharides to yield dextrins, oligosaccharides, maltose and D-glucose. The amylase have been used vastly in various applications like pulp and paper industry, textile industry, bio-ethanol industry, wine and brewery industry, food processing industry, animal feed industry, agricultural industries, detergent industry, waste management. The present work is focused on the isolation of Amylase producing microbes from the soil sample of agricultural land in Rohtak
