CHEMICAL AND PHARMACOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF SAMADERA INDICA (SIMAROUBACEAE): AN OVERVIEW

Medicinal plants are used as ancient style of providing helps too many ailments. Presently, variant peoples are looking on healthful plants for his or her primary health care wishes. The current review designates the morphological, active principles and ethnopharmacological aspects of Samadera indica. Being it's a vital healthful plant in Chinese medication this are supposed to vary medical specialty activities like analgesic, antiplasmodial, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antifeedent, antimicrobial, growth regulating, antioxidant and antimalarial activities. Different active constituents such as alkaloids, proteins, phenolic compounds and tannins, and gums and mucilages steroids, saponins, flavonoids, glycosides, carbohydrates, Indaquassin A, D, E, F, samaderins C, B and A, taraxerone, stigmastanon, stigmasterol, 2-f-dimethoxy-benzoquinone, leupenone, and simalikalactone D are a unit to date according in Samadera indica. Well conducted biological studies area unit still required for many indications of this species.
