  ABSTRACT

HETEROKARYON INCOMPATIBILITY SYSTEM IN NEUROSPORA CRASSA INSILICO

Neurospora crassa gene NCU08705.5 encodes a 1072aa size of protein that shows sequence similarity and 96% homology to the het-S gene encoded big-S 289aa residues of protein (25% identity; 45% similarity, e-value 6e-10) of Podospora anserina. In addition, the P.anserina MOD-D encodes a G alpha subunit of 354aa size of protein that shows sequence similarity and 99% homology to the three genes of N. crassa encoded NCU06493.5 (Guanine nucleotide-binding protein alpha-1)(354 aa), NCU06729.5(Guanine nucleotide-binding protein alpha-2) (356 aa) and NCU05206.5(Guanine nucleotide binding protein alpha-3) (360 aa) (86, 49 and 42% identity; 92, 67and 67% similarity; e-values 0.0, 0.0 and 0.0, respectively) proteins. In N. crassa heterokaryon (het) incompatibility is mediated by 11 het loci, including mat locus (mat A, mat a), het-c, het-6, un-24; and het suppression tol have been reported in molecularly. We included here on top of above mentioned all het genes encoded proteins showed sequences with similarities and 43, 100, 78, 98, 100, and 100 % of homology in N.crassa to the other class of fungi respectively
