ESTIMATION THE COMPONENTS OF BIOEMULSIFIER PRODUCED FROM SERRATIA MARCESCENS S10
Bioemulsifier are a structurally diverse group and unlike chemically synthesized surfactants, which are classified according to the nature of their polar group, they are categorized mainly by their chemical composition and their microbial origin. In general, their structure includes a hydrophilic moiety consisting of amino acids, peptides anions or cations, mono-, di, or polysaccharides, and a hydrophobic moiety consisting of unsaturated or saturated fatty acids. The components of bioemulsifier produced from Serratia marcescens S10 were detected by HPLC (High performance liquid chromatography) analysis for its components of carbohydrates and fatty acids, also estimation of bioemulsifier protein and carbohydrate concentrations were performed according to Lowry and Dubois et al. methods respectively. All these methods demonstrated that the bioemulsifier is containing lipid, 17.62% carbohydrate and 2.97% protein
