RISK OR LOSS FUNCTION AND QUALITY MEASURES FOR RIFT VALLEY FEVER VACCINE PRODUCTION
Rift valley fever (RVF) is an arthropod-borne disease. It is a zoonotic disease and spread in Africa, Madagascar and Arabian Peninsula. Mosquito is the principal vector of the disease. This paper evaluates risk or loss function and quality measures for RVF vaccine. The likelihood of risk was estimated by 0.29% and the risk function was 0.05 which is statistically non significant (P-Value>0.05). This returns in safety, cost-effectiveness and immunogenicity of the vaccine produced. The results concluded that acceptable risk level should be measured and quality control and good veterinary and laboratory practi ces are essential for safe and effective RVF vaccine
