PREPARATION AND STANDARDIZATION OF POLY-HERBAL FORMULATION
Standardization of herbal formulations is required in order to assess of quality drugs based on the concentratio n of their active principles, physical characters, chemical characters, Phyto -chemical parameters, standardization, In-vitro, In-vivo parameters. The quality analysis of herbal formulations is of most importance in order to justify their acceptability in modern system of medicine. The present research study on standardization of poly-herbal formulation is used to ulcerative diseases. In this herbal formulation consists of Ocimum sanctum, Glycyrrhiza glabra, Azadirecta indica, Mimosa pudica and Pouzolzia weighetii. The poly-herbal formulation is one of the remedy for ulcerative colitis, peptic ulcer, duodenal ulcers etc. While studying medicinal needs of poly-herbal formulations set some parameters to ensure that the formulation shows desired pharmacological actions against various ulcerative diseases. The preparation and standardization of crude drug materials includes authentication, morphological evaluation, ash values, extractive values, and physical characteristics like determina tion of Carr’s index and bulk density
