  ABSTRACT

TO STUDY MACROCYTIC ANEMIA PATIENTS WITH SERUM VITAMIN B12 LEVELS AND ITS CORRELATION

Macrocytic anemia, characterized by enlarged red blood cells, poses a diverse clinical challenge with various underlying causes, prominently featuring vitamin B12 deficiency. This study undertakes a thorough evaluation of the clinical profile of patients afflicted with macrocytic anemia, specifically examining the correlation between their hematological manifestations and serum vitamin B12 levels. A comprehensive exploration of this hematological disorder is crucial for understanding its varied presentations and facilitating targeted interventions. In this research, a cohort of [Number] patients diagnosed with macrocytic anemia will be scrutinized at [Your Institution/Hospital]. Detailed clinical histories, encompassing dietary habits and pertinent risk factors, will be collected to provide a holistic perspective. Key hematological parameters, including hemoglobin levels, mean corpuscular volume (MCV), and serum vitamin B12 levels, will be meticulously measured. The primary objective is to establish a correlation between the severity of anemia and serum vitamin B12 levels, shedding light on the intricate relationship between nutritional status and hematopoietic function. The anticipated findings hold potential significance for clinical practice, guiding healthcare professionals in the identification and management of macrocytic anemia cases. Moreover, these insights may contribute to public health strategies aimed at addressing nutritional deficiencies more effectively. Our research endeavors to enhance the understanding of the clinical profile of macrocytic anemia patients, emphasizing the critical role of serum vitamin B12 levels. This exploration is poised to contribute valuable knowledge to the medical community, potentially improving diagnostic accuracy and informing tailored interventions for individuals grappling with macrocytic anemia
